Its been a couple of years since I last made the short hop over the channel to Duivelsberg Circuit, Maasmechelen in Belgium. Its a great circuit that offers both drivers and fans what they like.
It always seems to be hot and very dusty at Duivelsberg circuit, Maasmechelen, and I apparently looked more like a coal miner than a photographer! The first qualifying round was run on the Saturday evening which made for some interesting low and hard light
So here are a few of my favorites from the weekend:
It was Dan Rooke who seemed in a class of his own all weekend who walked away with the major silverware.
Volders Mk1 Escort is quite possible a thing of real beauty. He races it in the Belgium Supernational 2000+ class which is some kind of half way house between Supernational and Supercar, he keeps a self storage unit filled with the best car accessories (see selfstorageprices.org.uk here)!
And finally had to share this frame of none other than Rallycross Journalist extraordinaire Hal Ridge, whos Rallycross knowledge is quite possibly the best anywhere in the world as I write this, however he runs like a girl and this is the moment he realised I was pointing a camera at him! Its nice to have friends!!!!
